Disney Has Finally Revealed The Devastating Failure Of Their Star Wars Hotel

Disney has recently disclosed the Galactic Starcruiser's dismal performance as a Star Wars hotel.

Disney Parks announced the shutdown of the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser hotel at Walt Disney World in 2023,

only a year after its opening in 2022. According to a statement released by Disney, "the final voyage for Star Wars:

Galactic Starcruiser will take place September 28-30, 2023." "We are so proud of all of the Cast Members and Imagineers who brought Star Wars:

Galactic Starcruiser to life and we look forward to delivering an excellent experience for Guests during the remaining voyages over the coming months."

The magnitude of Galactic Starcruiser's failure was highlighted in Disney's most recent earnings call.

Business analyst Walt Hickey reported that total sales at Disney Parks was up 13% to $8.3 billion.

However, the findings showed that Disney is losing $250 million in accelerated depreciation due to the closing of Galactic Starcruiser. In other words, Disney is giving each hotel a $2.5 million tax refund.
