Pickleball is back for Jamie Foxx. On his Instagram Story, the 55-year-old actor posted a video of himself playing against Olympic volleyball star Casey Patterson.
Patterson released the video on his own social media with the description, "That Jamie Foxx spin will get ya..."
He also provided an angle that showed Foxx in action and on camera, and he said, "I got dead balls out here, dead balls," referring to the games.
Patterson captioned the video "For all the comments who say @iamjamiefoxx didn’t hit that ball."
Foxx's latest appearance comes a few weeks after he provided fans an update on his recovery from a secret medical ailment that sent him to the hospital in April.
"I cannot even begin to tell you how far it took me and how it brought me back," the "Ray" actor said in a social media video. I went through something I believed I would never, ever go through."
He explained that he "didn't want you to see me like that." He remarked, "I want you to see me laughing, having a good time, partying, cracking a joke, doing a movie, a television show."
Foxx ended the video by saying, "I am on my way back." After a strange social media post over the weekend, the "Django Unchained" star was criticized.
"THEY KILLED THIS DUDE NAME JESUS," he posted on Instagram on Friday. "WHAT DO YOU THINK THEY’LL DO TO YOU???" with the hashtags "#fakefriends" and "#fakelove."
Foxx's use of "they" as a reference to the Jewish people was interpreted as antisemitic by many on social media. "I do NOT support any form of antisemitism," said Jennifer Aniston, who had liked the original tweet. I don't tolerate hate either. Period."
Foxx removed the post and apologized, saying it was not antisemitic. "Hi guys," he wrote. My post angered the Jewish community and others. I'm sorry if my words offended anyone. A phony buddy misled me. and that's all I meant by "they."
