After hearing the news that Céline Dion had been diagnosed with a neurological ailment, the vivacious Shania Twain expressed her condolences and prayers.
Since Dion's diagnosis of Stiff Person Syndrome, she has cancelled numerous high-profile performances, causing her to fall out of the public eye.
Twain added of the Beauty and the Beast singer, "I hope to be able to connect with her at some point," as reported by Billboard.
I can only speak from personal experience when I say that the thought that something is holding you back from singing is terrible.
Or preventing you from experiencing that happiness."So I really hope she can overcome it and be out there [on stage] singing for us all again," she concluded.
Céline's voice is amazing, and I love it so much," Twain said. She's a phenomenal performer and singer who is in a league of her own.
Twain is empathetic to Dion's plight because the singer is now recovering from surgery to strengthen her vocal cords,
During which she will be unable to speak for three weeks. She blamed Lyme illness for everything, she said.
