Paramore Cancels Remaining US Tour Due To Singer Hayley Williams Illness

The "This is Why" U.S. tour by Paramore has been called off due to lead singer Hayley Williams' sickness.

The band previously canceled four gigs while Williams recovered. Williams, 34, said that her doctor warned her that she was now at danger for long-term harm.

As a result, the group will cancel its final two performances on the U.S. tour.

In a message posted to social media, Williams stated, "I was hoped a week off from performing and.

A strict pharmaceutical routine would allow my body to heal sufficiently to finish off this tour strong. My lung infection forced us to postpone four shows.

"I have been fighting this infection as best as I can to avoid having to let anyone down with additional news of cancellations and postponements.

We're regrettably coming to the conclusion that it's past the point where we want to push through to put on a decent concert for all of you after battling through the previous shows and checking with my doctor.

In Seattle, the decision to postpone the remaining performances was made Wednesday night. The final two visits are in Portland and Salt Lake City. Tickets can be returned in person at the point of purchase.
