Sasha Baron Cohen, the undercover comedian, isn't forgetting his breakout persona.
Cohen will play Ali G, his "voice of the youth" rapper character, who shot to fame with Borat and Bruno. Cohen's stand-up tour will restore the sarcastic interviewer.
Variety reports that Cohen, a writer and actor, is following the strike rules and denying he has a project in development.
“As a SAG and WGA member he is supporting the ongoing strike alongside his fellow writers and actors,” Variety reports.
Cohen performed as his Staines rapper at The Comedy Store in Sydney, Australia, surprising the audience.
"I just wanted to get on stage and muck around and see what Ali G would be like with a crowd," Cohen said. It was enjoyable.”
Cohen can't use his renowned personalities to mislead people anymore since they've caught on.
It was even a storyline component in Borat Subsequent Moviefilm: Delivery of Prodigious Bribe to American Regime for Make Benefit Once Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan, where Borat ran from enthusiastic admirers.
