The Band guitarist Robbie Robertson passed away at age 80.
Robbie Robertson, a guitarist and one of the founding members of the Canadian band The Band,
passed away on Thursday, September 9, at the age of 80,
in Los Angeles. He was receiving long-term treatment for an undisclosed disease.
"Robbie was close to his family at the time of his death,
including his wife Janet,
his ex-wife Dominique, his partner Nicholas, and his children Alexandra,
Sebastian, and Delphine," said Robertson's CEO Jared Levine in a statement.
Robertson recently finished his 14th musical cinema project with longstanding collaborator Martin Scorsese, "Killers of the Flower Moon."
